Don't you worry, don't you cry, don't shed no tears for me They won't give you no reprieve And I will never say goodbye, long live liberty And I will be your reason to believe This is the story, this is the song A man's personal hymn For all his fury and standing strong When his future was grim Well, his name was James, he ain't play no games Wasn't aiming for fame when it found him Though he could sing like anything Wasn't trying to be king til we crowned him Oh, how we'd hound him Pretty soon he was famous The money-men came for his soul They'd say "sign on the line..." but he'd always decline That's how James maintained his control And so James became the enemy And the songs that he sang were his weaponry All the boys at the top, every lawyer and cop Wanted James in a state penitentiary So they framed him up for treason And locked poor James away But on the news, in interviews He just had this to say: CHORUS: Don't you worry, don't you cry, don't shed no tears for me They won't give you no reprieve And I will never say goodbye, long live liberty And I will be your reason to believe Overnight, the frame came to light We called for his release He took up the fight of the common man's plight Without disturbing the peace But the businessmen couldn't stand it James' head in their hands they demanded So to silence his voice, they riled up their boys They said "do what you must, but be candid..." Then they planned it They kidnapped him and beat him They put a gun to his head They said "boy, you just sang your last song about freedom" "But you won't sing much when you're dead..." Btu tied up in chains, his pride still remained His eyes were trained on the villains He said, steady and clear, "you can't kill an idea..." "It's only a man that you're killing" But power don't listen to reason And cowards won't reason with men And now we might forget what he got in the end, We'll never forget what he said, he said: Don't you worry, don't you cry, don't shed no tears for me They won't give you time to grieve And I will never say goodbye, long live liberty And I will be your reason to believe

Tragedy again today So practiced, we all tend to pray Can't second-guess me when I say: God bless the NRA And I don't know why But I know we'll justify This debt we get to pay There has to be a better way CHORUS: So many people dying We'll keep denying anyway It's so crazy Humanity is lost and scared And apathy's the cost we share Long ago, we sought repairs Now it's only thoughts and prayer And I know why And I know we'll just deny There's any cause to care We let it be our cross to bear CHORUS: So many people dying We'll keep denying anyway It's so crazy And i don't know when But i know it's got to end There's nothing else to say

Summer's bumming In the dumps from becoming An old lady - she can't fight it These new kids With their screw-you bids Worth her whole savings - she can't fight it A lost town They can't keep the cost down Anymore - oh no, she can't fight it A lost cause They just can't enforce laws It's a war - oh no, she can't She says, "leave my city, leave my city alone" She says, "I grieve for my city, I see that my city is gone" This block Was the pits, now kids flock To its new spaces - she can't fight it These people With their greed knees-deep And their two-faces - she can't fight it Mom and Pop Ran a lunchtime shop Locals sang its praise - they can't fight it They closed down When the rent rose, now There's a bank in its place - they can't She says, "leave my city, leave my city alone" She says, "I grieve for my city, can't leave, this city's my home" But how cheap is my pity? I won't even care when she's gone The scene's not pretty, at least she had a city to own Lay claim To a place and place blame On the newcomers - you can't fight it But rents rise And hence the trend dies We're the new Summers - we can't I said, "leave my city, leave my city alone" With no means and no pity, the seeds of my city were sown So clean and so pretty, the street of my city have grown It's not mean, it's not gritty - it seems that my city is gone

Alright 02:55
Baby, you're calling me so early in the morn And I got work in just a few You're my lady, but you gotta see, our time has come and gone Unless you get yourself a longer fuse CHORUS: When you call me in the night I know that you're set to blow, baby And I just want to let you know That's it's alright Baby, now hear me out, 'cause I know the thing you do When you get fucked up and hit the town But lately, it seems to me, it ain't no good for you And I can't always be around To pick it up CHORUS: When you call me in the night I know that you're set to blow, baby And I just want to let you know That's it's alright

Got To Go 04:40
See Eddie walking with a boulder on his shoulder He used to smile every now and then A young man, quickly getting older Don't know when he's gonna smile again His cold stare, it's getting colder And all he really needs is a friend And Jenny's there, but Eddie told her He knows everybody leaves in the end She says "Eddie, it ain't so hard" He says "I'm scarred and my heart is black and charred Bodies attract but always come back apart C'mon, Jenny, be smart" But see, to Jenny, things are getting better And she's been shouldering a load of her own Now she ain't trying to let the little things upset her She's just so tired of being alone She says "Eddie, you're so frustrating Standing in the sun, thinking it's night But when you're ready, I'll be waiting Don't go forever never seeing the light" She says "Eddie, now I'll be damned If you think I really can't understand I got a plan and I saved up a couple grand C'mon Eddie, take my hand... CHORUS: We're gonna leave town tonight We're on the rebound, it's alright Just dig deep down in spite of all that you know We're gonna leave town tonight We're on the rebound, it's alright Just dig deep down and fight, we just got to go So Ed and Jenny hit the road and try to make it Yeah, they're gonna take a stab at romance A heavy load, but together, they can take it Maybe together, they got half of a chance The path they chose, it's unfamiliar And now they're staring at the unknown And Eddie knows what doesn't kill you Will only leave you sad and alone He says "baby, let's play it safe And maybe get on a path that's already paved" She says "I know you ain't a man of any faith But c'mon, Eddie, be brave... CHORUS: We're gonna leave town tonight We're on the rebound, it's alright Just dig deep down in spite of all that you know We're gonna leave town tonight We're on the rebound, it's alright Just dig deep down and fight, we just got to go She says "C'mon Eddie, it's time to go Give it gas, we're living fast or we're dying slow And what you got in your past, baby, I don't know But now it's such a long time ago... CHORUS: We're gonna leave town tonight We're on the rebound, it's alright Just dig deep down in spite of all that you know We're gonna leave town tonight We're on the rebound, it's alright Just dig deep down and fight, we just got to go

(Dave) The wind of change is blowing And change ain't often good I've seen the way things are going Ain't the way they should, but if I could I'd take us back to a time when A man could be a man To be the one who provides meant The one who works the land, not holding out his hand And it's true While my neighbor relaxes, I'm out earning my check What can I do? I've got to pay my taxes, while he prefers to collect Now, I provide for a family And I'm an honest man For them, I'll do every damn thing that I can, 'til I can't But everything's getting harder And nothing stays the same I know somebody gotta Take the blame Is it you? Fake news on the TV, and the message it sends? Is it you? Who take cues, down in DC, from your banker friends? CHORUS: Well, I'm drawing the line - I don't care how the wind is blowing I'm just trying to find the land of the free And I've seen all the signs - I know where the ship is going Just give me what's mine, and let me be Oh, give it to me Oh, give it to me (Ernie) I see the cops and get nervous They stop me on the street That's some protection and service For the elite, but I can't take the heat I gotta be respectful But really, all the while It makes you so resentful Makes you volatile, when you gotta smile And it's true A cop sees you with cocaine, you get a slap on the wrist What can I do? I get stopped buying propane - they put my name on a list Now, I provide for a family And I'm an honest man For them, I'll do every damn thing that I can, 'til I can't But there ain't no denying This ain't the winning team There's always somebody trying Plotting another scheme, out to kill my dream Is it you? With your faith and your churches, always fighting your fears? Is it you? With the safety you purchase with the rights of your peers? CHORUS: Well, I'm drawing the line - I don't care how the wind is blowing I'm just trying to find the land of the free And I've seen all the signs - I know where the ship is going Just give me what's mine, and let me be Oh, give it to me Oh, give it to me

I gotta call, got the phone, I'm dialing I'm appalled, and I won't be silent We'll build a wall 'cause our foes are wilding And kill all who oppose the tyrant Yeah! It don't matter where you're from, I don't care I'm so fucking scared and dumb and violent CHORUS: So now we're all gonna fight to the death If might's the only right that's left I'm resigned to my fate When I'm blinded by hate for my neighbor I ain't calling it right, 'cause it's wrong But it burned so bright for so long You know that fires all die, and the pyres will rise Once the trip starts, gotta trust the pilot But libtards want to cuss and riot Play the race card, try to justify it Day to day's hard, man, just be quiet Yeah! No one is there for us, it's unfair You don't even care, you just deny it CHORUS: So now we're all gonna fight to the death If might's the only right that's left I'm resigned to my fate When I'm blinded by hate for my neighbor I ain't calling it right, 'cause it's wrong But it burned so bright for so long You know that fires all die, and the pyres will rise again And now we're all gonna fight It worked great so many times before And when it's all in the light We'll celebrate the many crimes of war CHORUS: Now we're all gonna fight to the death If might's the only right that's left I'm resigned to my fate When I'm blinded by hate for my neighbor I ain't calling it right, 'cause it's wrong But it burned so bright for so long You know that fires all die, and the pyres will rise again

Hold Out 04:47
I bet you think things are done getting better I bet you think that the sun won't ever shine And that's fine I bet you think that this slump is forever I bet you're wrong, but I'm not the betting kind But things happen, the place is getting hotter It's like a slap in the face, but you gotta CHORUS: Hold out - 'cause the sun is gonna rise And burn away the haze of the night And the fog that's in your eyes Hold out - 'cause the light is on the way And lord, it's such a beautiful sight When you see the light of day Hold Out I know you're mad, and you're prone to keep fighting You won't be a good dog, won't fall in line And that's fine And yeah, you feel alone, and you're frightened You been here before, just keep that in mind And no, you ain't got it made in the sun But you gotta wait, don't say that you're done CHORUS: Hold out - 'cause the sun is gonna rise And burn away the haze of the night And the fog that's in your eyes Hold out - 'cause the light is on the way And lord, it's such a beautiful sight When you see the light of day
